Why We Do What We Do
“I had a colonoscopy done at the end of last year and was diagnosed with colon cancer. I had to have a portion of my colon removed and was told I had to take a month and a half off work to heal from surgery. I did not have any sick- or vacation time left to use. My boss said he knew of a place that helped people with cancer pay their bills. I brought the necessary paperwork in for him to send to them. A few weeks later I got a check in the mail that covered my rent for 2 months plus a little more to help with the following month. It made me realize that there are people out there that not only care about me getting healed, but they also care about me being comfortable by not worrying about my upcoming bills. I am glad that there are places out there that are willing to help me out, and I Thank them so much !!! God Bless you for all you do for people in need!”
